a crab eulogy

by the way, we tried to wash the crab. tried to save it. but the oil wouldn't come off. it was so thick. we had to leave him on the beach. i want to take this moment to mourn all our sea life and animals that succumbed or will succumb to this senseless and unjust war. i apologize on behalf of mankind who can be really stupid sometimes. we invade your space, your habitats... we impose our way of life on you... we drag you into our mess... for this, i am so sorry. dearest Mother Nature, i hope you can find a way to forgive us. we still have so much to learn.

Hello Zena,
read your comment in our German Newspaper "Die Zeit" and wish you all the power and hope, which you need to go trough this sad time. Remember that the hope dies at last and where a door is shut 1000 other doors will open for you and your people

Zena , the daily reading of your blog gives me insight i would never hear on our news. i mentioned the decay of the beaches today to a friend who has spent time in lebanon, he was devasted not just by the gorgeous beaches beingdestroyed but as i am by the entire ordeaal. i wish there was web site created for global use that would say STOP IT NOW! All peace loving citizens of the world tens of thousands, or millions could sign it , maybe then we as collective people without politics could make a difference on so many levels we could speak out against all injustice, all irresponsible legislation.genocide. im not a tech oriented guy . not just isreal, and hezbolla need to be aware of the uselessnes of terror . i hope you found some milk, sincerly , don/dallas

Zena, this is such a catastrophe. I am so heart broken and devestated by this environmental disastor almost more then anything else. Bridges and buildings can be rebuilt, but the damage done to the environment is irreversible, especially on such a horrific scale. The last time I saw you was in the poetry evening at Art Lounge, I can't believe that was only a few weeks ago, I can't believe how much life has changed in the blink of an eye. I am afraid of what is to come...and trying to hold on to the faith that it will end soon. Stay safe and keep in touch *hug* Chantal
